Rules

Futoshiki (meaning "not equal" in Japanese) is a logic puzzle. To solve it, no knowledge of mathematics is necessary beyond comparing numbers. All mysudoku.io Futoshiki puzzles are generated on the fly and guaranteed to have a unique solution.

Each Futoshiki puzzle is composed of a grid of NxN cells (easy grids are 4x4 while hard grids are 6x6). Between some adjacent cells, there are inequality signs (< and > for horizontal neighbors, and for vertical neighbors).

The goal is to fill in each cell with a number between 1 and N such that:

The inequality signs always point towards the smaller number. For example, if you see 3 > 1, the sign opens towards 3 (the larger number) and points to 1 (the smaller).
